Ulysse Nardin Ulysse Nardin 6796 wrist watches news:
Did you get your fill of pilot's watches from IWC in 2012? Good, as they have directed their 2013 efforts towards the Ingenieur and have launched a series of new models that commemorate their historic line of anti-magnetic watches that were originally designed for duty on the wrists of French engineers (le science!). The new Ingenieur models include both three-handers and a selection of chronographs. Here we will take a look at the three-handers, in which IWC has announced two very different Ingenieur variations. The first, and possibly most surprising, is the new ref 3239 Ingenieur Automatic which is built around a comparatively tiny 40mm platform. Most modern Ingenieurs are 46mm wide (and fairly tall) but this 40mm version returns to an old-school sweet spot and is a cuff-friendly 10mm thick. The underlying message here is that IWC wants to offer up some competition to the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus. As I've never really taken to the trend of large watches (

Okay, it's my birthday in a couple of weeks, and the wife has graciously allowed me to indulge my passion (obsession?). The only problem is, I have a budget of $500, and I CAN'T FIND A SINGLE WATCH THAT INTERESTS ME When did I become so jaded, or so fussy that I can't find a watch in that price bracket? There are a couple of issues though; first of all, for my collection to be added to, it must be by something a bit 'different'. I don't want anymore diver's watches, I have a nice dress watch, I have chronographs, so what's left?Secondly, I live in just about the suckiest city in the world for buying watches (okay, probably an exaggeration, but it sure feels like it sometimes). We have one Rolex AD, and one shop that's a TAG, Oris, Rado and Tissot AD. There are lots of other jewellery stores that sell Tissot, a couple with Longines (I do like the Hydroconquest, but it's out of the price bracket, and it's a diver's watch), and all of the rest sell Seiko, Casio etc.So it's looking like I WO
Starting this thread to get some nice strap ideas/recommendations for a PAM 512. What straps do people favor for their PAM 512s and other Radiomirs?Currently I have the watch on a brown gator strap from B&R bands:Looks good on a honey colored fossil strap as well:
