High End Japanese Citizen Chronomaster Ultra Accurate Watch Available
The main draw of the Japan only Citizen Chronomaster (previously discussed here) is really the movement. The Citizen A660 is a thermoline quartz movement that I spent some time discussing here. In summary it is a specially designed quartz movement that is able to modulate the vibration of the quartz crystal in differing temperatures to ensure consistency, which in turn allows for greater precision. A thermoline quartz movement is accurate to within about 5 seconds year! The Citizen Chronomaster is one of the nicest Citizen watches to embody this wonderfully accurate movement (same type of movement in the Breitling Aerospace).Now, because I have discussed the merits of this watch, I will briefly mention that one is available at a very fair price on eBay right now. Seiko Sumo with a classic look?
Some time ago I was lucky enough to build my own divers watch. I found a brand new Seiko Sumo case from a WIS in the US, got a Sumo movement from Noah in Hong Kong, got an original Seiko Marine Master dial and set of hands from Rob in the Netherlands and found an original Sumo bracelet from an Italian WIS. The result was a Sumo watch with the dial and hands of the Seiko Marine Master that I thought was awesome. I was happy for a few months, until recently when I noticed that I was kind of getting bored with that combination. I started my cogwheels spinning again to figure out what I could do. I generally like classicaly styled watches and therefore I was trying to conceive what I could do to make a change that would keep the beauty of the watch intact but change the overall look. Help came once again from Rob (Monsterwatch) from the Netherlands, he had an original set of Seiko Alpinist hands. I ordered them, they arrived and I installed them. The result? Well see below. nautilus bracelet stretch?
Just got my 5711 a week ago. Just wondering if the bracelet loosens up at all or it is what it is. Wears a smidge tight so planning on ordering a 1.5 link but kind of hesitant since all i really would need is a 1.25 link.
