Ulysse Nardin 1183-122-42 wrist watches news:
So as soon as [non-sponsor] posted their watch today, I decided to go on a limb and purchased it. Maybe I shouldn't have rushed into it, but I'm guessing I have plenty of time to regret my decision once it arrives. The watch is a Fossil ME1037, rose gold touches, black IP and leather straps, automated with quartz movement, and has a skeleton exhibition dial. Supposedly is water resistance up to 165 feet. It does come with a 11 years warranty, but I hope I don't have to use it.For $50, this will be the most expensive watch I own, the second being a Star War digital watch my mother bought me when I was in sixth grade for $25-$35 at Wal-Mart (loved that watch and still do).I've only been intrigue by watches recently when I ran across an Akribos skeleton watch. Never owned a real watch before, just those cheap $10 watches at Wal-Mart that break after a week. So I do wish this would be a good experience for me, and I'll get back to you guys once this watch arrives.:D
I've never owned an Omega, but have been curious as it's quite a storied history, etc... So, I had to drop a watch off for service and stopped by the Omega dealer and tried on a few and can't stop thinking about the 43mm Good Planet GMT, white dial with red accents. Does anyone own this watch and if so, what are your thoughts? Also, I tried on the 41.5mm Aqau Terra Omega Master, blue dial and love that one too. Both look great on the bracelet, but I think the blue straps look great too. So, any thoughts or recommendations from any that might own one or both, or any insight at all on Omega would be helpful. Thanks!
I'm usually a Rolex fan but I can buy an Omega America's cup Titanium with dusty rose gold besel model 2294500. This is a new watch at an AD and they claim it's a collectors piece and a limited edtion. Comments on what is it really worth and type of calibre. Thanks in advance.
Two years ago I visited my local AD and ordered a 5711. They stated a wait time of 9-12 months. 5 months later and I received my first Nautilus:Being the greedy so and so that I am I went back last Dec to put my name down for a 5712. Bearing in mind the market has sky rocketed, 5 year waiting lists and many ADs not even entertaining the idea of getting a SS Nautilus I was surprised when my AD said 6-12 months. Well they've done it again and with just a 6 month wait! And thy gave me a very nice gift to go along with it:And finally a picture of the awesome twosome:
Well, yesterday was for AP, and today, found some time for Rolex and Patek. I have to say, my expectations for Torneau were quite low, based on my experience with the Atlanta location and comments from others here on TRF. Was very pleasantly surprised however, as the Patek specialist at Water Tower in Chicago was quite good. Knowledgeable and helpful, gave me her undivided attention. I was wearing my AP15300, and she noticed and commented on the Genta connection with the Nautilus and history. After spending a good amount of time with me trying on various models (which she unwrapped and removed stickers from), she sent me off with the just-arrived new catalog in hand!In the small world category, I learned while making conversation that the sales rep at the Rolex boutique and the Patek specialist at Torneau are sisters! Had a nice visit at Rolex, but they were adamant about not allowing wrist shots for security reasons, so no pics from there. Will post some Patek pics when I have a
