Steinhart Watches designs have always covered a wide range of styles, from divers to military to racing and more. Recently the popular brand released a new, limited edition model in their racing line that plays homage to the 24 Heures du Mans (24 Hours of Le Mans in English), the oldest active endurance sports car race.The Le Mans GT Heritage Chrono is a limited edition watch of 111 pieces. The watch clearly shows its racing inspiration right on the dial: the GT at 6 o'clock, the bold orange racing stripe down the right side of the dial, and the model number in a race car format at 3 o'clock. Even the strap takes on a racing theme with a handmade leather racing strap by Gunny, with complimentary blue stitching and large holes. I received my Hamilton Khaki Pioneer Mechanical 42mm watch today!I don't have the time to write up a huge review, so here is my condensed version.-42mm, bead-blasted ss case with coin-edge-vintage Superluminova (very nice so far)-Gothic-type hour/minute hands-The 21mm stock hand-made German leather band is not my taste, though comfortable and very well made (already have replacement en route from Steinhart)-mvt is ETA 2801-2 manual-wind (center seconds). 28,800 bph, 8bps.-domed sapphire crystal, ss case back (screwed in (not down)).So far, I love the watch. It wears pretty regular as a 42mm (doesnt feel bigger or smaller). The case, imo, is perfectly thick. The slight dome to the crystal is just enough classy, as Hamilton always does it just right!I LOVE the hour/minute hands, so fancy! I also LOVE the font for the numbers on the dial (of which is a matte black which appears brown do to the refracted light off the brown all over the rest of t

Help - Looking for a new watch..
Guys,I'm looking for a new watch similar to my Breitling Colt that I can wear with a black rubber strap. I have a smaller wrist so I feel in need to stay in the 40 - 43 mm size range. I do not want a mainstream watch that everyone already has. I like the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean but I think it falls in the 'mainstream' group of watches. When will we see new DJ 36mm in steel?
With the release of the new TT version this year, how long before we're likely to see a stainless version with the upgraded movement and updated case?Haven't followed these things closely in the past, but is it the sort of thing where there will be an announcement via press release after a few months, or are the stainless versions typically released the following year at Basel?Also curious if/when the OP line is likely to see a similarly updated case design, as I really like the sharper edges/more tapered lugs and am starting to like the idea of a 36mm, light-faced watch (and no, it wasn't that stupid-ass GQ article someone linked to!).
