Blancpain Introduces Saint Valentin Ladies’ Watch
With the 2012 holiday season behind us, Blancpain is already looking ahead to Valentine’s Day, with the debut of its new Saint Valentin 2013 limited-edition watch, a ladies’ model with a mother-of-pearl dial and diamond-bedecked bezel. The Blancpain Saint Valentin 2013 uses the iconic imagery of the heart ¡ª universal symbol of romantic love and of the watch’s namesake saint ¡ª as its primary motif. The base of the watch’s dial is white mother-of-pearl, and the hour markers are diamonds. The dial is enhanced with five red-lacquered, mother-of-pearl marquetry hearts, the largest of which surrounds the date window at 3 o’clock. The counterweight of the slender, central seconds hand takes the shape of the Blancpain “JB” (initials of founder Jehan-Jacques Blancpain) logo. The 34-mm stainless steel case features a bezel set with two rows of full cut-diamonds, and the case middle also sports five red hearts, here made of liquid ceramic. To make these

Anyone besides me noticed that the green 24 hour hand on the GMT II-C SS (116710) is slightly wider and a bit more ¡°luminescent green¡± than the TT (116713)?Had the chance to compare them IRL and natural light the other day. Quite noticeable IMO.

Unknown to me Elgin, identifiaction?
I bought this Elgin as non-working for repair, the original auction pictures were very poor but I could make out the case shape that i thought was very interesting. The watch arrived today and I now have more questions than before. The dial condition looks almost too good to be original which is probably my biggest question. Is anyone familiar with this model and is it all original? Thanks for your comments. Sapphire case back on Dual Time?
Hi everyone, I am thinking of maybe getting a Royal Oak, I really like the dual time, but there is one thing that stops me, I am a real sucker for see through case backs, especially the movement on the classic RO is beautiful, don't know if the dual time movement is so nice but if it is I would like to get one and put a sapphire case back, I know that a german company makes them for most rolex models, but don't know if it exists for the Ro dual time or if it is possible to get one from AP.Can anyone give me some info on this?Would be much appreciated.
