Invicta 11989 wrist watches news:
Officine Panerai kicked off its title sponsorship of the 2011 Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge in North America on August 12 with the Corinthian Classic Yacht Regatta at Marblehead, Massachusetts. The race attracted 65 classic and vintage boats. On Saturday night, the captains and crews enjoyed an elegant dinner with honored guest and speaker, the legendary yachtsman Ted Hood. Hood enthralled the crowd with his tales of the early days and his most memorable races, including his design and skippering of Courageous and its famous America¡¯s Cup win in 1974.The event culminated on Sunday evening with the Awards Party at the Corinthian Yacht Club where the 68¡¯ winning yacht Black Watch, co-owned and skippered by Trevor Fetter of Dallas, was awarded the overall prize: a Radiomir 8 Days GMT (PAM169), as well as a Panerai Barometer for placing first in its vintage class. In addition to Black Watch, the competition showcased an impressive range of beautiful vintage, classic and yachts ¨C from the
There is a new diving watch brand in town. It is not particularly unique or exciting to me, and it looks like the bastard love child of Ocean7 and NauticFish. "Style" copying in the watch world is pretty prevalent as the look of a watch is almost impossible to copyright. The only practical things you can protect from an intellectual property standpoint on a watch are the logo (trademark), and potentially functional elements that you can get a patent on. Of course assuming they satisfy the requirements to be patentable. As for expressive elements like style, it is hard as hell to protect them with copyright as most of it has been done before in some watch at some point. At some point, it seems that NauticFish and Ocean7 met in a seedy tavern already under the influence of too much schnapps, only to hit it off. Both capable diving watches, each has a bit of a loyal fan base, they both pride themselves on being heavy pieces of metal, and so forth. A few drinks later nature took its course,
When I went grocery shopping yesterday, I breezed through the magazine isle and saw that Lance Amstrong was on the cover of MENS JOURNAL wearing a Pepsi GMT Master II. Here's a quick and dirty photo I took with my iPhone of the magazine cover:In the last couple of years, I've REALLY been surprised at how often I see this watch on celebs. Owen Wilson has worn one in a couple of the movies he's done. Keanu Reeves work one in his recent cop movie that didn't do so well. They just seem to be popping up all over.
How can i learn about this watch. This will be my first omega. Is this a right first omega. Given that i buy and sell watches quite frequently will i be able to move it without a significant hit given i buy it around 4000 range BNIB.Thanks
Last week I visited Tiffany/PP Salon in NYC and shared some quick pics w/the PP forum. So today I decide to visit a different PP AD to look around and really see if I truly want a PP. Well we all know the answer, don't we - a RESOUNDING YES!!! I took some pics today to hold you guys over until I receive my first PP tomorrow. Oh yeah, I also threw in the legendary Datograph next to my Hulk... enjoy.
