This disc "jumps" each hour to show the correct hour digitally. The minutes are still indicated via a traditional analog hand. The idea of this watch is to improve legibility by reducing the confusion that can occur from having two hands to read. Looking for Croton / ETA cross reference
Can someone forward me a cross reference chart for ETA movements that were used in Croton/Nivada watches from the 40's-50's. For instance, a Croton E3AE is a ETA 1216 17 Jewel, and a Croton E3SE is an ETA 1256 17 jewel. I'm trying to cross reference a Croton E3A3 to an ETA. Take a look at my photo below, that is the movement I'm trying to replace. What I really need is a click spring, I thought it might be easier to just get a new movement and have the one for parts. Spent some time today with this:Loving it... Can't get it out of my mind... I had been considering a rolex skydweller but you just can't compare. The 5726 is far ahead with the moon phase, day display, clear caseback, extra strap included (to name a few advantages)...Thoughts? Wait for the 5960/1A to make sure I won't have any regrets?
