Tissot T065.430.16.051.00 wrist watches news:
While SIHH 2016 is certainly the main topic in the watch world right now, it is not the only game in town when it comes to watch announcements this week. F.P. Journe has announced an update of their Octa Divine watch. You may recall that earlier this year F.P. Journe released a box set to commemorate the end of their production of 38 mm watches. In tandem with dropping the 38 mm size, Journe is also doing a piece-by-piece redesign of the collection. The thought with the redesign is that the old version will be discontinued, and the new version of the watch will available in 40 mm and 42 mm sizes. In order to do this, the dial needs to be redesigned because it wouldn’t look right to simply put the same dial in a larger case. Last year the Octa Lune was redesigned, and this year it's time for a redesign of the Lune’s sister watch, the Octa Divine. 1 OF 1 The new Octa Divine is generally a larger version of the old Divine with a few tweaks. Just picked this up and thought I would post a few pics. Its the Limited Edition F.A. Jones in steel, numbered 185 out of 3000, hand wound, with exhibition back. At 43mm its a good size watch which makes it incredibly easy to read. I have had my eye on this one for awhile and decided to grab it before it sells out. This is the third IWC I have owned and cant say enough good things about them. I had a Pilot Mark XVI that I traded in for the Pilot Chrono Auto that I still have. This will make a great addition to my collection and I am sure it will see a LOT of wrist time! Enjoy the pictures.
Recieved my first new watch for the year. I knocked off one for my 2013 list, the Orient Bambino. I think it's a beautiful watch and already owning a couple of their divers, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. I love the retro sixties and seventies styles that are bring introduced now. I purchased a Tissot Visodate and a Rotary Les Originales last year and own several from the two previously mentioned decades as well.
After 10+ years of faithful service, usually in somewhat abusive situations, my trusty Timex beater watch seems to be on its death bed. It still works on an intermittent basis, but it stops several times a week and needs to be shaken vigorously for a few seconds to start up again. I've installed two different new batteries, but that didn't solve the problem. I'll hang on to it until it finally dies, but I can't trust it anymore for anything other than short term activities like going out for a run. I've put up with it for several months, so it was finally time to get its replacement. As the title says, out with the old and in with the new.OLD ($35 dollars well spent)NEWI gotta say, I'm really impressed with this Casio, especially since it was only $55 on sale.
