IWC iw510102 wrist watches news:
The Swatch Doctor is in soonWhen it comes to buying a watch (be it mechanical or quartz), required maintenance is likely the furthest thing from your mind. Sure, you might know that you need send it in for service in three years, or that your battery will need to be replaced in five. As watch lovers we definitely haven't had anything like the car companies offer, though, with routine maintenance rolled into the purchase price. But coming up soon from August 16 to August 25, 2013 you can go into any of the many U.S. Swatch store boutiques and get a free battery change and watch 'check up'(store locator here). The service will include looking the watch over, swapping the battery (if it's needed), and other nice touches like adjusting the strap or taking care of any buffing the case may need. Oh, and the best part of this? It's completely free, and you don't need to bring along any proof of purchase or anything - just show up with your Swatch watch and get some TLC.I've not experienced any
Bought my first Grand Seiko about two years ago (SBGE001 from the Bay) and that was the start of a pleasant journey.Got a few modern ones since then (some new, some used) and earlier this year the broad spectrum of vintage GS' started calling me.Would still like to put my hands on a 3180, a 4522 and a 4580 or 6186 VFA.Below is my GS collection as it looks today. Bought this Airflight today from the seller I got the Gruen Day-Night from last week. Then I found an original expansion band for it. The bank account is starting to protest, so I've got to take a break for a while. All photos are from the sellers. The obligatory wristshot will be posted later in the week.
Does one exist? Can you easily tell roughly when your Omega was made via the serial ala Rolex???
I inherited a 1965 Patek Philippe Gondolo black dial with white gold mesh bracelet from my late father about 20 years ago. When he passed away, I was still in my teens years and couldn't care less about watch so I asked my mom to keep it for me. I wore a funky Swatch and it was good enough for me. Fast forward 20 yrs later, I was on holidays with my family and stayed at my mom place. A few days ago, she was organizing her safe and stumble upon this time piece and gave it to me. I have completely forgotten about this watch and glad that I have found it again. The condition of the watch was not the best but I believe with overhaul and dial restoration or dial change, this watch will be quite a knockout time piece. The only thing that I notice is the mold aound the edge of the dial. The white gold mesh bracelet is still good condition. I have a few questions for vintage lover out there:1. Is possible to remove the mold around the edge of the dial or better replace the whole dial. If
