How can you tell a quality watch?
If you see a watch, what features would be indicative of an above average quality watch*? Without checking the brand name which obviously has a bias effect on perception.* my definition being a modern watch you would expect to retail for >$1500/��1000 based on quality regardless of brand premium. Things you hate to see-moisture :(
I've enjoyed wearing the Hamilton Navy Khaki in the rotation these past 2 years. As my eyes aged, the second time zone became window became increasingly more difficult to read. That aside, that day I washed my hands and was enjoying the warmish day when this was spotted. Hamilton service relays that the case tube threading has stripped and the watch will require a complete service. The $195 rebuild price is acceptable. I was disappointed that the threads on this screw down crown were so soft. Just making basic adjustments have allowed it to wear in the 2 years I've had this. Lesson learned, don't mess with it. I have other screw down crowns and they haven't exhibited such wear.

I��m going to buy a BLNR as my next watch. I love GMTs. Rolex makes the best GMTs in my judgment. I have always loved the black and blue bezel. I have the opportunity to buy from a TS at what I consider a fair price.With that as context, is it mistake to buy this week in the context of a potential upgrade to the 3235 movement?
