Ulysse Nardin 326-90-8M/92 wrist watches news:
I managed to drop my vintage Hamilton Glenn. The glass crystal is badly cracked and the minute hand has come loose.Judging by just the hour hand, it appears to be keeping good time.Could anyone here give me info/advice on (1) recommendation of a good watch maker in LA who could do the repair(2) whether NOS is still available for the crystal and where I could get one/how much it might cost(3) any other advice on what I should doHere's a pic:Many thanks to all.
I own a old Patek Philippe pocket watch I inherited from my Grandfather over 46 years ago. I imagine the watch is 60 years old or older. It has been in a bank valt for years and is in like new condition. I decided to enjoy it since I'm now 65 and I wondered how often it should be wound? I believe my Grandfather wound it daily, as I remember, because he did it every evening around 6pm, if my memory serves me correctly.Another dumbe question, when winding do you wind just forward or back and forth? Also, do you wind till it stops or just till you think it's "wound" good enough? Sorry for the dumb questions but I really am a complete novice here.
I just want to give a special thank you to DAVIDSW and Dan for such a wonderful face to face transaction! This is a special occasion time piece for me and I look forward to making it my new daily wear!
blog.perpetuelle/index.ph...ocean-is-here/This is a limited edition (1948 pieces [First year of the Seamaster]) Planet Ocean with standard 2500c movement. The differences are a new ceramic bezel with hardened glass metal over it. It also features a glossy dial, applied arabics, applied OMEGA wording, and red applied Seamaster script. It looks AWESOME! Obviously!
