Seiko SSB141 wrist watches news:
Hello everyone!I haven't been posting much thanks to some real-life stuff and blah, blah BLAH.Anyway, I would like some help with this one! I recently got a great art-deco Bulova watch at an auction for what I think is a STEAL, but I'm not too sure.It looks to have an old metal band on it, but the problem is I can't get to the movement, the crown and stem are behind the case, so I'll need to pull the crown off but I'm not sure how.It does work, but it's a bit sluggish.I don't even know if it's solid gold or not, i doubt it is. I see some pitting on the back, but the front looks to be in great shape. The crystal is pretty cloudy, which is a bit odd.Anyway, here's some pics. Let me know if you know the model name, some info and maybe a price!
HiI know there are a lot of Benrus fans here(I am one) so here are my two latest additions. I was particularly glad to get the Military watch. It was made in March 1970. The last month Benrus made the non-maintainable issue watch. Also, I wore one exactly like it during my Vietnam tour.TonyP1160001.jpgP1150001.jpg
My first watch with band made of rubber! Never would have purchased a few years ago. Must be acquired taste lol..
Hey everyone,I was wondering if any of you use any of the fitness / heart-rate monitor watches to monitor or track your workouts. I've been considering one as a way to better monitor my workouts, but not 100% sure yet. Anyone have one, use one, or used one? Like regular models, there's a million models, but I'm leaning towards the Garmin Forerunner 405CX. Seems to be a good middle of the road model, but looking for any recommendations or suggestions. Anyways, just curious if anyone uses them for their gym, running or biking routines and if so what's your thoughts.
Does anyone know whether perpetual Pateks are still sold in the U.S. with a winder presentation box? I bought a new 5140 two weeks ago from an AD. It came with a beautiful wooden presentation box, but no winder. Have they been discontinued, or did the AD keep it? Wanted to check here before complaining. I can't find anything on Patek's website concerning the accessories, other than the solid case back and setting tool.
