- At first when I recieved my watch I wasn't to thrilled, I'm acustomed to a lot of bling. The diamonds aren't that noticeable, they are just there. Once I worn it for a while I've become to love it, I've gotta a lot of compliments...

Omega Omega 50642 wrist watches news:
Welcome back to an original watches-dealer feature, "My First Grail Watch." In this series, we ask prominent people in the watch industry about the first timepiece that they lusted after. Today, we've got an interview that's - well, let's call it a belated birthday present for the interviewee.?We're speaking with the man, the myth, the legend - watches-dealer's founder, Ariel Adams.watches-dealer (ABTW): Who are you, and what is your relationship to the watch industry?Ariel Adams (AA): My name is Ariel Adams, and you may have heard of me. I am the founder of watches-dealer and discuss watches in publications all over the world.ABTW: When did your fascination with watches start?AA: I became a "watch guy" when I was about 20 years old, but looking back at my history, I've worn a watch on my wrist since early childhood - sometimes two of them.ABTW: What was your first grail watch?AA: That would go back many years, to the 1980s. The first watch I ever recall really wanting and didn't have
Inherited this Patek from my Dad who passed in 2007. He purchased this watch in Switzerland in 1945 at the end of WWII. The face says Patek Philippe&Co - Geneva. The back has my Dad's initials JEG and the year 1945 below it. I have never seen a Patek with &co, just Patek Philippe. See photo - This watch is in original condition (band added later), never been opened and cleaned or serviced. Manual wind, runs and keeps time. Need help with ID'ing this one, thanks.
Got this at an auction yesterday for cheap. I think it's a neat little watch. It's in fantastic shape. The band has no wear on it, nor does the watch. I don't see any gunk in the band links or on the back of the watch. The face has some minor scratches but overall, it's quiet sharp! I think it's from the 60's-70's?The band is pretty large, it's fit me well (I have large wrists)Not technically American, made in Germany, but I thought that some of the Elgin buffs might know more about it.So if anyone has any info on it, let me know! And of course, a price would be nice. With all of my watches, I'm always looking towards the chance of selling it for profit
