Zenith 30.160.418 wrist watches news:
John goes out of his way to embarrass Ariel - he needs a girlfriend from the Ukraine. More on SIHH - we talk about Richard Mille RM 056 Sapphire crystal-cased watch (1,000 hours to machine each case) how much it costs, and how a slew of virgins must somehow be involved in that kind of pricing. More from the show and the completely unnecessary pain and loneliness that the watch industry and conventions in Switzerland can inflict. We also talk about more reasonable watches like new stuff from Hamilton (a slide-rule complication that's useful - John disagrees) - X-Patrol!New version of the Konstantin Chaykin Lunokhod is a topic - Ariel thinks it's better than the one he wrote about earlier. An awkwardly-placed ad/event announcement appears in the middle of the show. John insists that James Bond is not a real person, and the Zombie Apocalypse preparation begins.Listen to the HourTime Show watch podcast episode 93 here.
Many thanks to wien for his patience and getting it here so quick. Mailed in Hong Kong on Friday- at my door in Canada on Tuesday. WOW!!!
In 1970 Hamilton introduced the first digital watch. As it turned out, the announcement was premature. This placed the company in a position to advertise a non-existent product! They scrambled to get pieces to build the watches from many places....they went with LED (you have to push a button to read it)...in order to be first on the market...they introduced Pulsar in 1972 and for a short time were a success. When LCD technology took over LED was gone.In honor of Hamilton being the first, how about a picture of your digital watch/watches.
(Pic borrowed from Jake's Rolex World Blog)I was looking through some of our sponsors and found this watch. What do you guys think? It has cues from Panarai and price is a little over $300 + shipping..But Miyota movement kinda pushes me away.
Happy to add this awesome timepiece to my humble collection(sorry for the blurb cellphone pics)
