- I love this watch. I vacationed in Hawaii and it did beautifully in the ocean salt water. The watch is very durable and sturdy. I am looking to buy another is the blue face as well. Well worth the money.

- Happy - It's a very good watch. I like it a lot- just wish the display circle could have been a little ger. But the band itself is wonderful.

The inconsiderable Ref. 1530
I'll try to make this short, but it does require some backstory. My grandfather was a great guy, and loved a good bet. In 1960, he took a bet with a friend, for, you guessed it--the outcome of the Presidential election. The loser would have to buy the winner this Omega Seamaster, which they had both seen in the window of a local jeweler. Upon Kennedy's election, my grandfather received the watch and wore it in good health for many years. After he passed away, it was handed down to my father, who also wore it regularly. Unfortunately, the caseback began having problems--the gold was literally wearing away. Over the years he took it several times to a jeweler, who told him it had to do with the pH of his skin (no idea if this is true), and he (the jeweler) would fill the caseback with new gold on occasion. When my father passed away in the early 2000's, the watch came to me. I didn't do anything with it for a while (the caseback literally has a hole worn in it) but eventually took it to a r
Hey guys,As a result of the great feedback from this forum, I ended up buying a 5164r. Anyway Long story short. Left the watch at my bedside table and left for work without wearing the watch as I was late. The evening I came back, my watch was on the floor :(. I guessed my toddler came into my room and dropped it on the floor. Can¡¯t really be mad at my cheeky monkey. He means the world to me. Just sad that I haven¡¯t even had time to take proper shots and postedI really can¡¯t stand the look of the watch now. There¡¯s a dent at the 6 o clock mark now. Any chance that the case can be fixed at service (i.e laser and filings)? I know case replacement would fix the problem but not sure how much would it cost.As always appreciate the help guysSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just purchased a 2005 Panerai 188 Daylight with a white dial. Box arrived with all paperwork, but if you look at the enclosed picture of the warranty registration form you will read ....CHRONO AUT ALL/NOIRnoir means black, if I remember my french correctly, but the dial on this watch is white. And what does AUT stand for? Any ideas? Thanks in advance...
