Advice on servicing costs.
gentlemen, i'm posting this request on behalf a friend. He has a 1973 untra chron watch which belonged to his father. The watch is a sweeping hand and date model and looks to be either 9 or 18 carrat gold plated (not hallmarked). It has been in a box for over 20 years and the watch starts up when handled but appears to have been overwound at some point. It is need of a good clean and has a replacement strap fitted.In real terms the watch would not appear to be worth anything more than sentimental value. The question I'm asking is whether it's worth getting serviced, and if so, what would he expect to pay?Any advice would be much appreciated.

I think I might just get the Field Khaki Auto. I like the clean design and simpleness of it. Easy to wear and for the price, if I bump it and scratch it, I won't get to upset! Also, with the large second hand sweeping around the dial, it gives some movement to the piece you don't get with the chronos. (They have very small second hands) Will post pics and write a review upon arrival.

Greetings Everyone...I have been wearing my "neglected" Citizens watch for the past three weeks. I have been wearing one of my two Ball watches for a long time, decided to put on my Calibre 8700. It was set to the Atomic Clock when we went back to Standard Time. This watch has not gained or lost since that time. Accuracy is unbelieveable!
