I Found this Old SEiko.......
I was just finishing sorting out watches to take to the antique show tomorrow, and I stumbled across this old Seiko......now I have seen quartz watches with 1 jewel or 6 jewels , but I have never seen a watch that says Quartz quite plainly on the dial, and then right above the 6, it also says 17 jewels......It wasn't running when I picked it up, I was going to see about putting a battery in it, ( I had not yet seen the 17 jewels label...) and I unscrewed the thin ring on the back, and there was another thin ring without notches...and as I was trying to take the back off, the whole movement crystal and dial came out in my hands.....whoops thought I ....and the crystal seems to fit inside the bezel without being glued down, and the dial is clean and the movement is hidden by the real back of the watch, and I am not at all familiar with this kind of arrangement ....so I put it all back together again .....and now it's running and what's more the second hand ( red tipped by the way ) while

Here is my personal service experience about Chronoswiss.Back in December 2012, I bought a brand new Chronoswiss perpetual calendar RG. A few months later, I found that there were some minor white spots on the dial and sent my watch to Chronoswiss service centre for a simple clean up. It turned out to be a big mistake and my 2-year long service nightmare started by receiving my watch back with the case and hands scratched. The repair work was done by Chronoswiss headquarters and I asked for a follow up repair to fix these problems. This should have been an easy fix and when I got my watch back again, I was shockedand that was mid 2013. The repair team did a heavy polish on the case to remove the scratches and the hallmarks were now barely visible. The polish work was so poor that the lugs were deformed. GuysYou probably know that I was looking to cash in on my loyalty card offers and put them towards an Omega Moonwatch.However, now the Moonwatch is almost Rolex money I'm kinda stuck.I had been thinking of buying my 6 month old son a watch and sticking it in the safe (with regular servicing) so that when he's 21 he gets a sweet vintage watch.At Goldsmiths I have seen this...However, I know bugger all about Seamasters. This is the 41mm automatic movement...it's about ¡ê1300. With my vouchers next year I could pick one of these up for free.What do you think?Can you give me any info on it?J

I have to decide in the next 48 hours if I should get a sealed 5167A-001 which would have my name on the certificate for USD 20k + USD 1.5k for insured shipping & customs duties.Now, I know this model retails for about USD 19k in the US and continental Europe (16k if you remove the VAT in the latter), but it's never available.I'm very tempted and would like to have some opinions from Aquanaut aficionados.Thanks!
