Vacheron Constantin Vacheron Constantin 28775 wrist watches news:
The Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch is among the most famous historic watches of all times, and it still happens to be produced today. Here is some more of the "back-story" behind the iconic watch: Chances are that at some point today you¡¯ve used a satellite. Whether TV, phone or internet, your digital footprint will have probably graced the heavens, tossed about by a network of delicate machines that shoot around the ball of rock we call home at over 18,000mph. But, 1,071 successful satellite launches ago, there wasn¡¯t a single man-made device orbiting the Earth. Then, on October 4th, 1957, the starting pistol fired and the Space Race began. The launch of the Soviet Sputnik 1 took US President Dwight D. Eisenhower by such surprise that he coined the term sputnik crisis in response to Russia¡¯s success. But Sputnik wasn¡¯t the only game-changing creation of 1957; the other was in Switzerland, in the shadow of the Neuchatel mountains: the birth of the Omega Speedmaster. To complim
This is the latest watch from UTS Munchen. We've written before about UTS, it's basically the obsessive engineering of Nicolaus Spinner. Do you really need a watch that resists pressure from over twelve thousand feet of water? No, you do not. Do you want one? You just might.Simply called the UTS 4,000M, there are two versions, a GMT with the ETA 2893 and a 3-hander with the ETA 2824.Unlike most brands, UTS makes their own cases. Spinner is a mechanical engineer, and personally I have to say that watch-obsessed engineers make the most interesting watches. Think UTS, Damasko, ochs und junior, and probably others. You don't have to be a mechanical engineer, but it seems to help.Anyway. The 4,000M is a massive 45mm by 17.5mm, with 6mm AR-coated sapphire crystal, bidirectional ceramic bezel locking system and special glued and screw system for the crystal. Despite the abyssal rating, it does not need a helium escape valve, as the superior case seals preclude helium from ever intruding. Supe
Back in mid-February we took a look at another batch of new watches and brands that were seeking initial funding via one of the crowdfunding methods. They have all gone through their funding campaigns and now it is time to see how many of them were successful, and how many were not. There were a total of six watches that we covered last time and here is how each of them faired.Burel Class Cape Watch – Funding UnsuccessfulThe Class Cape was the hopeful new model for Burel, who was an existing brand with two models under its belt before starting this particular Indiegogo campaign. The nautical inspired Class Cape had no hands and instead used a red line superimposed on the crystal with the time read via the rotating dial. The movement chosen for the Class Cape is the Swiss ETA 6498 hand-wind movement. To get the Class Cape off the ground Burel was seeking $10,000; at the end of the campaign the total pledged was $5,145. Although the funding campaign was unsuccessful it appears Bure
Hi,I have a flat 6.4~ inch wrist. I have a silver/white 15450 and am looking to add the steel 15202. I had the chance to try the gold version today at an AD. How does the watch look on my wrist? Obviously the bracelet was not sized for my wrist but I feel it is a reasonable fit with no lug overhang. The bracelet was naturally hugging my wrist on both sides without any space at the point of end-links and watch case. The watch wears big for a 39 size, probably because of the thin case. What do you guys think?
I think they are beautiful and I¡¯m craving one.
