This is a great deal and tons of awesome features, but it's very, very large and it's very, very heavy. Bought it as a sport watch for hiking as it has an altimeter, but it's just too heavy for that use.

Question no one can answer
I've been going back and forth with the idea of buying either a 2231 or a 2254 and I got some great feedback from many of you here. As I was reading various posts about these watches I found some people who made modifications to their watches. Such as adding a white gold bezel, changing a dial etc. So I called some authorized repair shops and some shops that work on Omegas just to ask them if a black 2254 bezel will fit on a 2231. Nobody would tell me yes or no. Some said they had to have the watch and the bezel before they could tell me if it would work. I understand that some will not do this because it's modifying the original watch, I get that. But aren't the watch dimensions something that is known or can be looked up somewhere. An Atomic clock on your wrist?
It's not too far off. Right now we are getting time corrections 6 times a day from the atomic clock in London plus the clock in Denver. But there is nothing to stop these corrections from coming a lot faster and sooner. How about a correction every hour?. Or every 5 minutes? Or every minute? or even a lot faster. it is just a matter of improving technology that already exists.
