Vacheron Constantin n/a wrist watches news:
Mido is one of Swatch Group's smaller brands that you rarely hear about. If you do, you know that like Tissot or (not available in the US) Certina, Mido offers some decent looking pieces at pretty reasonable prices (for a Swiss mechanical watch). As one of the underdog brands, sources say that the Swatch Group just isn't quite sure what to do with them. Sounds like Mido just needs the right type of person in charge. If you look at the pieces they've offered over the last few years, there are some real keepers. One of the most iconic collections from Mido has always been the dressy Commander. It sort of fits in the same vein as a Rolex - not in price necessarily, but more what it was trying to be for a man.For 2013 Mido returns the Commander with the "Commander II," as well as the similar sibling watch the "Great Wall." Now, according to Mido, the Commander's design - that is the new Commander for 2013 - was? influenced by the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. Something about how the sunra
With the introduction of the Heritage Chronométrie Quantième Annuel Vasco da Gama, Montblanc makes a fine push into the small, but growing, segment of the industry for relatively affordable complicated timepieces. (They also score big points for having an epic product name – the collection is inspired by Vasco de Gama, the first European to reach India by sea.)This 40 mm wristwatch – available in both steel and gold, pictured here – is modern without being cold, with a dial that balances three sub-dials for the annual calendar and a separate moonphase with elegant ease.At a list price of EUR 11,100 in 18k red gold, you would be hard-pressed to find a greater value proposition for a similarly complicated precious metal wristwatch in this price category. (For example, JLC's Master Calendar in pink gold will cost you well over the twenty-thousand-dollar mark.) 2 OF 3 The movement is partially visible behind a sapphire crystal case back featu

I got my first AP a few weeks ago. I skipped the entry models and went straight for the 41mm RG ROC w/ black dial and black gator strap :D It's a beautiful watch and the current crown jewel of my collection. Since getting it, I've been reading the AP section of this site. I had thought about trading up to the 42mm RG ROO because I like the look of all RG vs the black ceramic bezel hiding the RG bloc behind it. After asking some friends, and one of my gfs, I decided to keep the ROC. She didn't like the too chunky look of the 42 rg ROO, preferring the classier better proportioned 41 ROC. The 44 is beautiful looking, absolutely, I just aesthetically want all RG on my new watch personally this time. I'm getting the impression that the overall most wanted/desired AP here is the 44 RG Ceramic ROO. Accurate? Do you have a different favorite AP?
