Where to get repairs done on 1964 Mido Ocean Star Powerwind
Hi,I am new here, and inherited a 1964 Mido Ocean Star Powerwind watch from my 93 year old father.It needs a new crystal (cracked) and needs some cleaning/tuning, since it supposedly was adjusted too tight and the spring does not keep it going for more than an hour or so. Is anyone aware of a shop in either Western NY state or South Western Ontario that would do a good job, and could find or have the parts? Bodacious Blinged-out Bracelets
Seems like everyone is rocking these thin steel or leather bracelets - or even the Lance Armstrong-type plastic stuff. The metal ones are SS, and some bracelets have gold touches. I like the feel of loose bracelets when it comes to these things, and I like that loose feeling in watch bracelets, too. Why not combine the idea?I find that my Rodania Swiss with the old school Kreisler gold-plated band is just thin enough and loose enough to flow with the concept. It might by a little pimpy for some, but I think of it as a Dr. John New Orleans 'homage.'

IĄŻve tried pretty much everything (as well as other brands), vintage, and every metal....exceptions:Milgauss, Cellini, Yacht Master, TOG, probably a few more I havenĄŻt thought of. *Yes, EVERYTHING IS GONE BUT THREE Findings...(for my tastes anyway)....1. PM has spoiled me...love the look and feel, and when IĄŻd put on my SS pieces, I usually couldnĄŻt wait to put my PM back on2. I COULD be a two watch guy, but 3 - 5 will probably be my comfort zone. I donĄŻt need a huge collection to be satisfied. Quality over quantity for me. 3. Love any Rolex blue. 4. After going back and forth a few times, YG will be in the collection. 5. I may add a SS back in at some point.....SO I WONĄŻT be the guy who says.... IĄŻm done But for now....pretty darn content! Anyway, just some TRF, light w
