- I was really pleased when I received the watch in the mail. It is a beautiful timepiece. I am giving it to my husband for Christmas and I am sure he will be thrilled. It looks like an expensive watch but the price was great!

Hi all,So, after having read so many people's bad experiences with black-dialed Connies, I've become scared of all black-dialed Omegas! What do people think about this one? The "S" in the Seamaster looks like the old style font. Unfortunately the seller appears to be a bit of a newbie, and didn't know the caliber or case number (and doesn't know how to remove the back....). He's told me it is a bumper. Would love your opinions!Daniel
Hi everyone,At work this morning one of the guys i work with approached me with a watch he no longer wanted as he had bought himself a new one. This old watch of his was a skeleton watch on a leather strap that looked a bit scruffy and he wanted ¡ê10 for it. He offered it to me and my boss and neither of us wanted it, so he just passed it me and said " here you go, its yours for nothing" and walked away.I looked closer at it under a magnifying glass and it was a Rotary Automatic on its original strap, I took the strap off and scrubbed it with soft soap and rubbed some moisturiser cream into it and came up lovely. I went to find my work mate to buy it off him at a fair price and he refused saying "buy me a bar of chocolate" and he refuses to take any money off me for it as he says he is having a big clear out at home.I did a Google search for it when i got home and i found a 'new old stock' one for sale identical to this one from 1990 and it turns out it is gold plated and has a blue ca
I mean, probably less than 1% of the people whe wear them actually use them to scuba dive. There's of lot of "business" and weight that typically accompanies diver's style watches, so what's the allure beyond needing one in a water environment? Nothing against 'em - I have one myself - just wondering....
I am sure I will get crucified for this but here goes... I keep hearing rumors the Red Sea dweller font is one year only. Now, I am 99.999% sure that is NOT going to happen. BUT, what if? What would the piece be worth in your option if the red font is a one year only run? Asking just for fun, zero interest in selling and again I am sure it won't happen but fun to discuss!Yeti
