- This is a beautiful watch that catches everyone's eye. I got tons of compliments from both sexes. The best part for me is that it's really well built. I have worn it everyday since my other watch broke with no blems.

This REALLY made me chuckle? BRASS NAUTICAL SEXTANT COMPASS W/ WOODEN BOX VINTAGE?
Most folks associate Panerai with the Luminor case, and for good reason. It is highly visible, showcases the signature crown guard and is the Panerai style most worn by athletes and celebrities. When I first discovered the brand I was a Luminor guy through and through but, slowly, things began to change. As I dug into the history of the brand I discovered that the Radiomir case was used for the original Panerai watches in 1936.Enter my PAM190. A 45mm Radiomir housing a JLC movement. I quickly fell in love with the Radiomir and now favor it, by a small margin, over Luminors.Which do you prefer and has you opinion changed over time. I'd love to hear you Panerai story.
Too often I see a watch for sale (good price) and buy it, only to find in a few weeks (or days), it's just not cutting it. I have needed to stop this foolishness, so I am in the process of developing a system to help me resist temptation. Here's what I am doing, and so far it's worked.I have three watches in my small collection (I'm a wearer, not a collector) that I really enjoy wearing, rotating them regularly. If I see a watch that catches my eye and tempts me, I ask myself, "would you wear that instead of your XXX?" Most often the answer is no. After the initial thrill of acquiring a new watch, I usually go back to my faves, leaving the newcomer in the drawer to collect dust and waste time. I realize this sounds juvenile, but with all the impulsive buys I have made in the last couple years, I need something to keep me from pulling the proverbial trigger so often.Peace, out.:D
I have a PVD Boschett Cave Dweller 2 and love the thing. I am wondering if PVD isn't for everyone though or if it's going to be a passing phase. If you browse some of the other forums FS/T posts, there seems to be a glut of PVD watches being put on the market. Do you think this is a case of people buying them and changing their mind, or is the trend nearing its apex?
