Good bye old friend
All that remains is my Tag Heuer F1 chronograph. The Explorer ii is the only watch I have moved out of the collection, thankfully to someone I know. Thus it's in good hands when he's not wearing his Breitling for Bentley behemoth!The time came when all my wrist time is shared between a handful of 40mm watches or smaller. Thus, I was happy to find a collector with similar interests and pulled the deal about an hour ago. Here is me saying my last goodbyes and preparing the package for a good home. Got it all polished and provided extra links and leather strap with logo buckle. Sitting next to my daily watch. Off to a good home! :)The seller? Well he's got a Patek Philippe for dress, drives the new VW beetle. Has two M9's! And a Nikon D700. This was his rare and I mean rarely used X1!Both new homes and happy owners. Thank you B1. Glycine Ningaloo Reef

Another "His n Hers"
I'd bought her watch maybe less than a year ago, mine arrived sometime last month. Great to have a partner who shares my love for watches!Her watch is a quartz, both me and the AD went blue in the face extolling the virtues of mechanical timekeeping; cut no ice whatsoever.Being older and maybe a little wiser, I staged a strategic retreat, the AD battled on; poor fellow still bears some scars from that debate!

Go for it? A 5711 blue dial, recently overhauled by PP
I got hooked on the 5711, and the one I am considering is from 2006, but recently overhauled/polished by PP 2 months ago. It's 9 years old with the screws bracelet. Has complete papers, with overhaul statement. Even the mail-in paper to register it with PP. The recent overhaul is a big plus factor, I think.I was wondering if there would be any benefits to wait and try to find a newer one? At first, I couldn't believe why anyone would want this rather plain-looking VERY EXPENSIVE SS watch. I had never even held one, so went to see what it was all about. The funny part is that the 5711 was covered in plastic wrap, so when I first looked at it, I decided it was too dull and underwhelming. Nothing spoke to me. My friend with me also agreed it was just dull. Then the dealer took off the wrap, and I could hear opera, you know, arias streaming from the blue dial. It was like magic, the twinkling of the indexes. That's all it took, and I got hooked. My friend changed his opinion 180 degrees, a
