We love the ONLY WATCH auction that takes place every other year in Monaco for the support of charity. Why do we love it? Well a range of participating watch brands produce totally unique watches that are auctioned off for charity (Monegasque Association against Muscular Dystrophy). The pieces are sometimes mere color variations on existing models, and sometimes they are radically new models that are production concepts or signs of things to come. In any event, they are all one-off pieces (with the exception of models that are "#1" in a limited edition). Watches? There is no end
The great thing about watch collecting is that there is no end to the variety, types and styles. I keep coming across watches I never heard of in designs I never knew existed. Any strap/band suggestions for this?
I'd like to find a replacement strap/band for this Citizen Eco-Drive, nothing too pricey, maybe something gray is available? Not looking for rubber, maybe canvas, but I don't love the NATO style that has strap between the case and the wrist. Any suggestions appreciated. Incoming 60th Railmaster
Hi all - just picked up a 60th LE railmaster. Am absolutely delighted with it. Initially I thought I would be swayed to the Seamaster, but as soon as I tried this on I was hooked by the size and simplicity of it. Is a great looking watch and a change from the others I have.The domed crystal and polished bezel give off great reflections and add to the simple and understated look.Looks great on both bracelet and strap and very comfortable. Haven¡¯t tried the NATO yet, but the mustard colour is not really singing to me. That said, I don¡¯t usually do black straps and the one provided looks great so I may give it a try.So far is running at less then a second quick a day so Is incredibly accurate. As I¡¯m not a fan of more than 3 watches, the FOIS may go leaving me the 16610LV, the Apollo 17 45th and this.
