Laco is one of those brands I'm surprised doesn't get more attention. One of the original manufacturers of Flieger watches during WWII, along with Stowa, Wempe, IWC and others, they have a long rich history in watch making. We had the luck of meeting a distant relative of one of the founders of the brand, who wrote us this great brand highlight recently, which I recommend you read for a thorough walkthrough of their story. Help understanding - Panda's - 42mm or 44mm, or both??
Trying to understand the Panda dial - I'm seeing 2 different descriptions on the internet and have uncovered 2 reference #'s - Is the 44mm Panda referred to as Themes Panda and did this replace a 42mm model? - My wrist is better suited for 44mm so I'm trying to make sure I'm looking at the right model.Thanks all!!Brian

Omega Case Restoration?
Hi All,I recently purchased a Speedmaster Date and just found a small nick in the side of the case.Are there any shops you would recommend to refinish an Omega watch case and return it to mint condition?I'd like to avoid sending it to Bienne or NJ considering it's just a cosmetic blemish as it's very new and doesn't need anything near the magnitude of a standard overhaul.I'm located in Nashville, Tennessee and would prefer to deal with a shop face-to-face (can travel out to Atlanta, GA, no problem), but am not counting out shipping my watch out for the repairs to be done.Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thinking of taking a break from the hobby...
It's a first world problem for sure. I love my watches but recently I picked up a dream car- Ferrari 488 and now I've been bitten by the car bug. By no means is it my first exotic or sports but it's the most intense car I've ever owned. Now I'm pining to get a Mclaren to add as a stablemate. And by freeing up some funds, maybe the new Mclaren p14 or a Ferrari f12 can be added to the collection.Hard to keep multiple expensive hobbies so I'm considering selling my Patek's to fund the car passion!Can I afford to do both. Well yeah. But just seems frivolous. How many of you have gotten in and out of the hobby? I figure delve in some high end cars for a bit and when I get sick of that, come back to watches.Not saying by any means I'm done with watches- just feel like taking a break. I guess the bigger question is how do you stop the urge to just live a normalExistence and not keep wasting errrr i mean investing money in these expensive hobbies. A trusted source at an AD told me they heard directly from Rolex that as of today, Rolex has officially retired Rolex.Take it with a grain of salt but in years past, this source has had reliable info.If true, RIP Rolex!Now, the speculation begins as to whether this means SS Cellinis?
