Zenith 03.0520.4037/01 wrist watches news:
Hi all -I'm not a collector but, searching for info on an old Hamilton movement I found among the things left me several years ago by my father, I've determined it to be a 982M, sn M81535, complete & in working order (a rough check shows it ~2.5 min fast/day), w/o case/band.I'm considering putting it back to work. The dial measures .845w x .885h, tho' the movement is .965 x .730ish.Looking at every pic I could find for a similar dialface, I found (on eBay) only a Gilbert, but I believe I read here that this movement was used in 14K cases only.Is it simply a replacement, or have I just not seen the right model? Were dials used on more than one model?I also have an Automatic marked 64059-4 on the back that I can find nothing at all about.I bought this new, about 1971, from discontinued stock where I worked at the time.It hasn't run in 15ish years and I wonder: is it worth having serviced, new crystal & band?Update: just took the back off - it's marked 694A, Seventeen 17 jewels, H
Anyone know much about the PAM 89's?I like the 88, but with 89 I get the brushed titanium case which would be a little better for getting knocked around in the ER. And is that anthricite dial more of a charcoal in color?Any idea how hard they are to come by? I saw one for sale used for $8000.Thanks.
Remember to set your calendars for March 1 tomorrow.
I have never done one of these threads, though I have seen manyI will give you a clue¡¡¡¡¡¡.It's a Patek Philippe. On checking tracking, it is currently winging its way down from Manchester to Exeter DevonBut what is itCould it be the last watch that I will ever put onOnly time will tell.Though, it's safe to say it will definitely be the last for this yearAnswers later on tomorrowAnswers on a postcard or plain post
After waiting 3 long years, I just purchased my second Rolex a few days ago. It's a pre-owned 16233 TT Datejust T series, silver dial, fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet. The watched was serviced by RSC in September of 2017 and carries a two year warranty, full set with original papers. I got a great deal on it from a local AD, and couldn't be happier!First time posting Pics, any suggestions will be helpful, thanks!
