So I was at the NYC Omega Boutique picking up a piece that had been in for refurb for about 2 months and one of the Omega watch makers noticed the watch I was wearing and asked: "What kind of watch is that?"Well it was my Citizen Signature Grand Complication. He was rather impressed as I showed it too him, and I ended up surrounded by him, the Service Rep, and a second watch maker as I explained the functions! Meanwhile the watch I'd come to pick up was lying, ignored and forgotten, on a tray.Just goes to show, real watch aficionados are not watch snobs.
Well what can I say...after feigning interest in watches lately...well I just have a hard time with passing up good deals on watches and gadgets...so put them together and man I get hooked; especially if it's a Casio which I've always been able to beat the tar out of and the seem to keep on ticking......well beeping I guess. So here's the newest arrival, which was something I hated to pass up being it was also solar/atomic, until the other ABC watch I got a few months back, so this one's even sweeter.Actually haven't had the Breilting or Omegas on for a while. I know your all thinking; "what's going on with this guy?, how could he be wearing cheap digitals instead of those nice swiss autos?" I don't know...maybe it nice to change up to a light weight beatable that has all kinds of doo-dads and is easy to read. The newest PAW 1100The whole pack of MY Casios, (not the kids)
Have the 15400st which is among my most casual watches (can't really call it a beater) but also dresses up ok with a suit. There are a few 15400or blue dials at various trusted sellers and have thought about trading in/up. I have a big wrist and like the second hand, so 15202 doesn't work for me. Am wondering about steel vs gold and particularly if the gold bracelet is too blingy.
