Zenith Zenith 24279 wrist watches news:
I thought I had posted this before, but I cant find it,J.W.BENSON WATCH COMPANY HISTORY:J.W.Bensons started up as a partnership between Samuel Suckley Benson and James William Benson.About 1840,they were selling watches under the name SS & JW Benson,Cornhill,London. In Jan 1855,the partnership was dissolved and from 1855 to 1891 (according to R Good) or 1897 (according to NAWCC supplement 20) the company traded as J.W.Benson and the firm moved to Ludgate Hill, after which they became a limited liability company. They held royal warrants during the 2nd half of the 19th century, starting in 1876,for Queen Victoria, the Prince of Wales, the King of Siam and the King of Denmark.About this time J.W.Benson also had premises Royal Exchange and Bond Street, but it seems that neither of these addresses appeared on the dials of their watches.During 1889,J.W.Benson went on a buying spree, acquiring,Hunt & Roskell of London & Manchester,Silversmiths and Jewellers, and Sir John Bennett of Cheaps

I am looking to get a new stainless steel "oyster" watchband for my Commando and am thinking getting the type that comes on the 8926 (and other watches with a 20mm lug spread). I just got off the phone with Invicta who told me the width at the bracelet clasp is also 20mm which seems rather odd. They also did not know the height of the links (the thickness). If anyone has a non solid end link Invicta watchband and a caliper can you reply with the measurements and what model number. Thanks.I was also dismayed that a watch company as large as Invicta would not have some parts on handthe told me it could take up to 90 days. Yikes!
I'm currently on my hols in Malta. I dragged my wife to the local Patek AD in Valetta today and was surprised to see they had a 5235 in the window. I was actually going in to try the 5170 which was there but I don't think its for me. I was taken by the 5235 though, my only concern was it did look a bit big on my 6.75 wrist, but they could just because I'm used to 39mm.When I get back to the UK I'm on the look out to try the first generation ALS Datograph. Obviously these are very different watches, I already have the following 5167, 5711, 5146, 5396. What would you go for next The Regulator or The Datograph?
HelloI'm interested in these two watches and I'm looking for information about the differenced between them. I believe that the 3940 came out first and was then replaced by the 5140. Is this the case and can anyone tell me what the differences are please? Thanks
