Zenith 03.2410.4010/21.M2410 wrist watches news:
While the meaning of unique is so watered down that it challenges "in-house" for sheer over-use, I have trouble thinking of a more appropriate way to describe Ressence watches. I would be surprised if anyone reading this wasn't aware, at least visually, of their Ressence Type?1 and Type?3 models which, in living up to the brand's tag line, have evolved "beyond hands." Announced just ahead of Baselworld 2015, Ressence has reworked their Type?3 model to include a temperature gauge to monitor the oil that fills the upper case element.Much like the original Ressence Type?3, the new Type?3 is 44mm x 15mm in size with a three-part case that is essentially two sapphire domes mounted to a titanium spine. The spine also forms the lugs and can be had in matte or polished finish, each with a DLC coating. Thanks to an extensive use of titanium, the total weight of the new Ressence Type?3 is just 75g, mounted on a leather strap with a matching titanium buckle. The magic of the Ressence Type?3 design
There was a thread perhaps 3 years ago about the best vintage Hamilton watches under $500. I can't find it. Does anyone have a suggestion for locating this? I guess my search-fu is not strong.
Spent the day wearing my new Seiko Velatura SNDA63. I have wanted this watch since it came out and finally pulled the trigger earlier this week. Some don't like the dial because its pretty busy, but I've had no problems telling the time at a glance. It's heavy ( about 135 gr.) but is comfortable to wear. Fit and finish is very good. The new style strap is soft and conforms to the wrist well. Heres the specs:44mm without the crown x 14.5 mm.Sapphire Crystal w/anti-reflective coating.7T92 MovementScrew Locking CrownTiCn Coated Bezel26mm Strap I'm very pleased. It will make a good companion to the Yellow SKA367 and the SKZ327. Only pic I have so far was taken with my girlfriends phone while travelling today. Scott Velatura 121110.jpg
Although the answer should be obvious that you match your buckle color to your case, and I have done that with all my watches. And I know this is just a matter of personal taste, but what about matching the buckle to the strap and not the case.So this would be in instances of black or charcoal watch straps where you have a black PVD/DLC buckle but your case is not, such as SS, tungsten even bronze.I have tried this but I am not sold on the idea, but it sure would open up some idea's for my black watch bands that I have.If you have pictures of this type of configuration please post them.
Hi AP family, A fews back, I went to look at a pre-owned solid gold Royal Oak automatic. I was surprised while inspecting it, I noticed it had a steel bracelet clasp mechanism, not gold like my President. Is this factory or could it be a replacement of some kind? If it's factory, I'm curious as to why a fine watch maker like AP would use steel parts in an all gold watch? Does Patek use any steel in the all gold Natilus? I don't recall any markings on this AP clasp. I've always wanted a Royal Oak and this certainly would'nt be a deal breaker, just puzzeling, I guess!?Is this a normal configuration?
