Zenith 01/02.0450.680 wrist watches news:
They came out 12 months apart, both with rectangular reversible cases, and both constructed by Spécialités Horlogères SA. But different fates awaited the Reverso and the Tank Basculante. One spawned hundreds of models and celebrated its 85th anniversary earlier this year. The other would be one of hundreds that make up a larger collection, and would seldom be seen again. But it would be wrong to compare these two models on their success. We got our hands on a 1990s model to explain why. 1. The Tank Basculante Was Never Meant To Be A Collection 1 OF 6 Purchasing a patent is one thing. Owning it is quite another. While we are quite certain the Basculante wouldn’t exist without Jaeger-LeCoultre, Cartier’s “titling” watch is inspired by one of its own designs – and one that pre-dates the Reverso by some margin. Hello. I love to drool over all of your watches, but alas do not have one of my own yet. So, since I'm getting acquainted with the PP brand, can anyone shed some light on the model numbering scheme? Most of your watches have numbers that begin with 5s, 2s, and 3s. Is there any significance to the numbering that can help me understand what features, materials, and complications a given model has based on the number? Thanks in advance!
here's a game. post examples from one brand that span the decades. i imagine a good hamilton collector can probably hit an entire century. my best attempt comes from eterna:the 40s:the 50s:the 60s:the 70s:i've already cheated as i don't own the 70s watch anymore. you may boo me if you wish.
Any minds about this?Sorry for the bad photos.
The 5140p-001 is back today from its routine spa services at HSWA. The team at HSWA was professional, available, informative, and forthright the entire time. A special thanks to Patrick and Keana, both of whom are advocates not only for the brand, but also for its customers. The 5140p-001 remains one of my favorite pieces. Here are a few pics of the unboxing (the watch was delivered at work so I will set the calendar at home with the pushpin). Thanks for looking!
