How to Make Cracked Vintage Lume
I know everyone usually avoids lume cracking, but I'm putting together a 6514 homage, and the lume apart from being on the darker creamy side, should have hairline cracks in it, just like the genuine watch from the 50s. I'm not even fussed if I just use paint and other materials (i.e. no luminova) as I don't really care if the watch glows in the dark or not- I want it to lok authentic, rather than light up the whole room with it's lume I've been searching online for a few days on how to achieve this effect, with no luck. My research has led me to plenty of information regarding how to vintage dials and age cases, but nothing about fake cracked lume.Any insight you guys might be able to give would be most appreciated!Neil

iWatch. What are you going to do?
Well, if you follow tech gossip like I do, it seems imminent now,that the iwatch will most likely be released this year. I love gadgets just as much as i love watches, but I still don't know what I'm gonna do regarding the iwatch. It supposedly has some amazing cutting edge sensors to measure everything in your life. There seems to be credible information that it even has a sweat sensor that will be able to read different health markers from your sweat. To me, this is amazing, but am I willing to wear an iwatch instead of one of my watches? Not sure. And if you put the iwatch in your watch rotation and use it sporadically, you lose the benefits of tracking your health etc.So, what are you going to do, has anyone thought about it?

Finally picked up 114060 from somewhat local AD ...
Today was the day I finally made the 1.5 hour drive to pick up my No date SubC. Absolutely loving it & fits perfectly around my wrist. They had it on hold for me since right before Christmas and even received a discount to boot. I must say it feels great to actually purchase new with a warranty card dated with your name written on it vs a pre owned. I sold a pre owned 14060M which I did not particularly care for size wise & used a lot of the funds to pay off the balance of this one. Next purchase will be a new Hulk later in the year. A big thanks to TRF for all great research on this forum and looking foward to many more years to come on this great site.
