Ulysse Nardin 136-91AC-309 wrist watches news:
If so, I would like to know about it. I am assisting a major US national news source on a story regarding some of the problems in terms of customer service, as well as watch servicing at luxury watch companies and their retail stores. If you have had experiences with any of the major luxury watch companies that you feel were unacceptable or poorly handled, you could be helping out in a big way. Not only will you be helping other watch buyers and owners, but you'll help send a powerful message to watch companies that customer service and post-sales support is an area they need to focus on more if they are currently in a poor state.Share who the company you were dealing with was, what happened, if they did anything to help resolve it, and your overall feelings about the matter.I don't think your name or information will need to be used if you are written about, so don't worry about that. To share your stories you can either comment on this post or contact me here. Many of you have had is
I'm back from the beach and back at work this fine Monday. I'm also wearing a new additiona late 1950's Surf.
Beautiful packaging and incredible service all packaged up in a watch with an incredible pedigree. Laco (Lacher and Co. Est. 1925) was an original supplier to the German air force in WWII. This is a limited edition replica built after the original pilot watch from 1942 and produced for the German airline TUI Fly. Mine is no. 369/737. The Fedex shipping was free and it arrived from Germany to my door in 3 days! It took me a while to figure out the interesting Leather band, another replica of the time.
I wanted to see if the Powermatic 80 movement in my new Tissot PRC 200 lived up to claims of power reserve and accuracy. Basically, I wound it 50 times and let it sit face up, except to hold it up to take pictures against the clock on my Mac ( I picked the watch up straight, so the rotor didn't move, or if it did, it only added seconds).I started the test at 10:55 pm on the 12th and it stopped today, June 16th at 8:26 am. If my math is right, that is 81 and a half hours.IMG_8885.jpgLast night, at 10 pm, it had gained 7 seconds. I check it again, before work at 6 am, it is was still 7 seconds fast. Roughly, that comes out to +2.33 seconds a day.IMG_8879.jpgI'm very happy with both results. The power reserve is pretty impressive for a sub $700 watch. While I realize that accuracy can be affected by different positions and movement, none of my other watches in this test even came close.
Recently took some fresh pictures of my '67 Speedie Pro Cal 321 with red chrono hand (inherited it that way). Hope y'all enjoy! LOVE the Tritium patina, cracked hands and all...The plexi is a massive dust magnet. The more I wipe it clean, the more static cling it seemed to develop! But NOTHING is sexier than plexi...Etched Omega logo on center of plexi (very tough to photograph!)Was difficult getting this display back that does NOT say First and only watch...This is my fav Cal.321 manual wind pic:Another instance of a red handed speedy pro -- from the 1971 Return of Ultraman, Episode 8: Monster Time Bomb. As I understand it, the director was a speedy owner, and often used one as prop in his Ultraman episodes (original scan by Action Dan):Thanks for looking!
