Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller D-Blue Dial, James Cameron Deepsea Challenge 3D Movie
Rolex doesn't normally release watches outside of its normal Baselworld schedule, but today they have made their very first exception to that rule by releasing the new Rolex Deepsea Sea-Dweller with D-Blue Dial 116660 watch. It has a blue and black gradient dial with a vibrant green colored "DEEPSEA" text on the dial. Interestingly enough the reference number for the D-Blue is the same as the standard black-dialed Deepsea.Another testament to the?unique nature?of this occasion?is how Rolex teased that the announcement would be on August 4th 2014 a few days in advance. Many considered Rolex to be quite late with the announcement as it was August 5th in much of the world by the time it was released. had this omikron. supposed to be swiss made. well, it was pretty ugly, had a oclusion in the crystal, and didn't keep very good time. so I tested it. yup, a pretty intensive one to see if this watch was indeed swiss made. this was done in a number of videos, the 1st one I'll skip as its not forum friendly.:D

AP ROO Diver 15707 black ceramic still in production?
Gents, AP just removed the black ceramic ROO Diver from their European website. Does anyone know the reason for it? Is the production of this model discontinued? If it¡äs so - what might be the reason?

Differences between p.2002 and p.5000
This question came up while I was reading about various PAM movements, in particular two of the manual wind 8 day power reserves. I did a bit of digging and this is what I could come up with:p.2002- 247 components with 21 jewels- 28,800 oscillations per hour- 6.6 mm thick, 13 3/4 lignes diameter- GMT function- Quick hour set- seconds reset function- 3 spring barrels in seriesp.5000- 127 components with 21 jewels- 21,600 oscillations per hour- 4.5 mm thick, 15 1/2 lignes diameter- variable inertia balanceSo it looks like the p.2002 is the more complex of the two movements. It appears though that the p.2002 is not simply an advancement in the p.5000 but a completely different architecture.
