Vulcain is introducing two new watches: an 18k rose gold Cricket Anniversary Heart Automatic Calendar, and a Nautical Heritage Limited Edition that celebrates the 50th anniversary of a historical dive watch with mechanical alarm. Find details and prices inside. For 2011 Vulcain presents the Anniversary Heart Automatic Calendar in a 42mm 18k rose gold case. The anthracite metallic sapphire dial provides a view of the 257-part Cricket Calibre V-22 from the manufacture in Le Locle. A cut-out reveals the date at 6 o’clock. This latest version of the Cricket alarm movement is equipped with two barrels: one to powers the timekeeping functions, and the other the alarm, which rings for a full 15-20 seconds. The escapement ticks at a classic 18,000 vibrations per hour. Incoming German Flieger
Some time ago, I posted pictures of a Laco Flieger (the one with the Miyota movement). It's a great watch & a fantastic introduction to German watches. Well, some time has passed & I've flipped that beautiful watch to help pay for this stunner:It's powered by an ETA 2824 which is an automatic which hacks & can be hand-wound too. It has a curved or "domed" saphire crystal & a bead-blasted steel case that is very well constructed. As terriffic as my Miyota-powered Laco was (& I'd highly reccommend it), this b-uhr dialed ETA powered watch is on another level!

A trip to Geneva with the World on my wrist...
Greetings guys hope you are all having a great weekend. Just wanted to share a few snaps of my recent trip to Geneva with my 5131R strapped on the wrist where it belongs in the cockpit crossing time zones. Had a fews guys asking for shots so here you go.. You will notice I changed the strap of my 5131R to lighter shade of brown which I think works well as it enhances the World enamel dial more...Also had the pleasure of meeting fellow TRF member Karl as a VIP pax on my flight returning home from his adventures in Geneva..
