Anyone know if white gold and steel datejust's from the early 80's is increasing in value or decreasing?

First Omega, advice wanted
Hi all,I have a deep respect and admiration for Omega watches, especially the 'tool' watches like the SMP's and PO's. I know very little about them however, and would like some advice from the Omega 'fan boys' that reside here on whether there is an Omega available that compares with the Sinn 857 UTC, which is on the top of my list at the moment (once again bumping Omega onto the back burner).My only requirements are a UTC/GMT hand, and here's the rub, it must be around $1600 USD. Is there an Omega with my name on it? Or should I just indulge my Sinnful desire, and come back to Omega when I'm more serious about it (and considerably more wealthy?)Thanks in advance for any (constructive) replies.Cheers.

So, I arrived yesterday evening too early at Singapore¡¯s Changi Airport Singapore, with time to spare. After filling up myself with free food from the airport lounge, I decided to walk around looking for duty free. But with nothing interesting to buy, I started to amuse myself by looking at my watch instead and it suddenly dawn on me that my AP 15400 is putting up a lightshow! I mean the airport terminal, with all the shops and neon lights and signboards giving out all kinds of light and reflections, it is the perfect venue for a watch like my Royal Oak 15400 to dance to all the lights around. Like this : So with my trusty cameraphone, I started to photograph my watch under all sorts of lighting conditions. And the pics do turn out quite nice! Hold Your Horses, Brace, Price Increases
I have word that the price increases for the new watches will be anywhere from 12% to 15%. Source says old watches will see 7-8% increases.Reasons cited are new bracelets, new designs, and new movements.It may be based on another rumor I don¡ät know, but if these prices hold true the secondary market is going UP.Also, it seems that because of the new variety, models will be produced in smaller runs, and will be very difficult to obtain.
