Audemars Piguet 25987or.oo.d088cr.02 wrist watches news:
the bloody raised gold letters! Especially when the sun goes down. Auugghhhh!!!! I love wearing my Hamilton watches, especially my Wesley and the Langdon that Dan just sent me. But, I'm straining to read the raised gold letter dials, particularly in dim light. I guess 'father time' is catching up with me! :-0 I think it's the lack of contrast that gives me difficulty. Maybe the Hamilton models with luminescent or black numbers might be easier on my eyes. An early tonneau or barrel model? Or maybe a luminescent round dial from the 40's? Or maybe just strap an 18 size Railroad pocket-watch to my wrist? ;-)Any suggestions? Anyone facing the same challenge? If nothing else this visibility issue gives me a new excuse, ah.., reason to add to my collection! Now I really NEED a new watch! :-) What models should I try to collect that would be the easiest to read?Tx, Piscator
Hi there fellow paneristis,Just wanted to share my some pictures of my new Pam 312. She's been on my radar for close to 18 months now and finally bit the bullet and got her.Oh what a chase it has been. Good things to those who wait?Well as a lot of you know it is not easy getting your hands on these watches. My search took me to the internet and scouring the ADs around the globe. I found some very helpful ADs in the UK who were willing to post to me down under, some reasonably priced, and others, well let's just say i could have paid for a one way ticket for what they wanted to charge for postage. In Ozzie-land, we are slightly limited, there are only THREE ADs carrying Panerais. None in my home city. So i sent emails to all of them and got a call from a very friendly AD who was very easy to deal with. Straight off the bat offered me 10% discount and free shipping with insurance. Great. Sold. Done. And today it arrived in the mail!Oh the unboxing. What can be said, that has not already b
Sorry if this post is against the rules/etiquette of the forum but I couldn't find a sticky.Basically, I'm looking at buying a nice vintage watch for around the $400 mark. I came across this on eBay:VINTAGE GOLD FILLED WHITE DIAL LONGINES MANUAL WIND WATCH BUY IT NOW It is quite a nice-looking watch and the movement is beautiful, but something doesn't feel right about this listing. Can anyone give me advice on whether this is a good buy? I am sorry if this is an annoying question, I have only recently started learning about watches. Thank you for your patience.
This evening, while minding my own business, I was brutally attacked on my wrist less than a cm from my watch, by a nasty hornet. It just landed and struck. Ouch! First time that's happened. Play safe, everyone.
Some time ago, I posted a shot of my wife's new Tissot PRC100 chrono with its metal bracelet, which she didn't like. Finally, the red leather deployant strap we back-ordered from Tissot arrived at the AD. She likes the strap much better; I think it looks better, too. What do you think?
