Audemars Piguet 26089BC.OO.1000BC.01 wrist watches news:
Here are some nice looking and very inexpensive Italian watches from Fullspot. Certainly designer, certainly fashion-y, certainly the opposite of most of what you have in your collection. But actually quite fun. How cheap? Not really sure to be honest as there seems to be two prices. The brand's US site wants $36 per watch, while the Fullspot's Italian site (both have e-commerce components) wants $24.35. With shipping I am not sure how much they are. So, it is either of the two.The company is really not watch enthusiast-focused. So, don't expect such specifics such as how large the cases are. Seriously, why does this information elude people to include? Fullspot confuses the matter by saying that they come in three sizes. This actually just refers to the strap that come in "small, medium, and large" sizes. The straps have no connectors or clasps. They are silicon-based watches with a bracelet-like strap. The top of the strap has a casing for the watch - which fits in the case/strap as
...yeah, that's what i want to see.
I was woundering why Rolex made the Yach Master in the stainless steel with a platnium bezel, But not the Submariner or the deep sea? Would'nt the platnium bezel be better on the other two watches?
Been itching to post this couple for a while, but I've been away from home for the last month. You may remember my all original (incl crown) 1918 Elgin in a Sterling Silver Illinois case I finally have its twin - a Waltham Pershing, which I find pretty compelling in the originality stakes, with a Sterling Silver J. Depollier case, most likely original silver crown, 1927 movement and the hands look authentic too. Depollier and Waltham had a strong relationship in the teens through 20s.Movement is unserviced and needs a clean (but running well). Dial is nice and crisp, with clean crisp stars and logo and sub-dial everything fits together in a non messed with time-capsule way. There are a couple of dodgy dials around (I know, I have one) and the quality of this one and the other is day and night. I can't see any differences from Adams, with respect to the dial. Unlike the Elgins, I can see no evidence that these were lumed, so the white hands are what I would expect.
This is a beauty. It has the Olympic rings on the seconds hand. They keep showing it on commercial breaks during the olympics. Does anyone know if it's available yet?
