The Lack of Ethics, Morality, and Legality of Blogs in the Online Wrist Watch Community: An International Call for Ethics Reform among BloggersBy: John B. Holbrook, IICopyright 2009
My wife has a Movado that is a few years old. She wore it back in her waitress days and it got pretty beat up. The finish was dulled, scratched and all marked up. Because of this it sat in a drawer for quite some time. A couple years ago I decided to surprise her and have it cleaned up. I took it to a local jeweler and he quoted me $75. This seemed fair as he told me he would drop the movement out (I don't remember if he said he would remove the crystal or just cover it) and that when he was done it would look as good as new. I was pleasantly surprised at the results and when he was done it was shiny and new. Well about 2 years have passed and it is looking pretty rough again. My wife no longer waitresses and the watch is not even a daily wearer. She does however wear it along with other bracelets on the same wrist. I am sure this is the cause of the wear on the watch. I told her it would be best for the watch if she wore it solo on that arm, but apparently I know nothing about fashion

I've been a Rolex Sub guy, but I find myself being drawn to the Speedies from time to time...and I've just about had enough :-) I'm about ready to pull the trigger. However, I've been watching them on TRF and eBay come and go and it seems that the prices tend to fluctuate a bit?! Can anyone point me in the right direction? Maybe a good place to buy from? What is a decent price? Thanks!!
Does anyone own the Tudor Black Bay and a Rolex 6 digit Sub? I'm interested in a screen shot of both on wrist AND would like to hear how the Tudor fits/feels on your wrist compared to the Sub. I like the Matt blue disk on straps offered but have yet to see one in person. FWIW, I own the LVc.
