Last year in 2013, watches-dealer was there when Bulova announced that they would be the official watch sponsor and timekeeper of England's Manchester United Football Club. At the time, there were no particular watches ready to show that honored the new relationship, but at Baselworld 2014 Bulova introduced the Manchester United Treble within their new Percheron collection.I discussed a very special version of the Percheron with the 24k gold model here. Thankfully, Manchester United fans will not be required to spend $42,000 on watches with the logo of their favorite team. The Bulova Percheron Treble collection has three watches specially designed for the Bulova Manchester United relationship, and this ref. 63B195 is my favorite, with its steel case, matching brushed metal dial, and full two-tone Manchester United Logo on the dial.Interestingly enough, while I am not usually a fan of third-party logos on the dials of watches, the Manchester United logo works here. Why? Well, without it
For 2014, Casio will release yet another technologically interesting watch that we've never seen before. As part of the G-Shock collection, the Casio G-Shock GPW1000 watch family will synchronize and receive signals from both atomic clock radio signals as well as from satellites from the Global Positioning System (GPS). The former?feature has been around for longer, and over the last few years ¨C especially with the promotion of the Seiko Astron ¨C the public is getting used to the latter idea that their quartz watches can be always correct, anywhere in the world by connecting to GPS. Both systems of receiving the correct time from signals have their pluses and minuses. So Casio decided to design a watch that could connect to either. The Casio G-Shock GPW1000 includes new technology that Casio co-developed with Sony. Together the two companies developed a miniature low-power consumption system for reviewing GPS signals as well as including a six band radio receiver to get signals from the

Here's a watch that is high on my list of "must have" watches, but I have never seen anyone here at the forum talk about them. I tried a few on while I was on vacation last year, and they really looked good on the wrist and they left a lasting impression I have'nt forgotten about.I'm talking specifically about the Admiral Cup Series. I'm hardly a sailor of any kind, but I love the nautical theme of these pieces and I love the 12 sided cases. Very distinct and different IMO - Any opinions?
