I like to post about these milestones -they feel important to me. I've written over 1000 aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer articles. And I must remind myself that I also regularly write for a few other sites such as Luxistwatches-dealer, AskMenwatches-dealer, and more (see all my current work on the About page here). So the total watch articles I have written since starting in late 2007, is over 2000. But aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer being my own place, I think 1000 here is still pretty impressive. I wonder if I put it all in a single book, how many pages it would be? I think we are talking more than War & Peace here. Can anybody help me with this old Seiko???
Just picked up a Seiko 6309-7049. (i didn't even know what it was called before my research here)First thing i did was to take it to my watchmaker and get it cleaned and serviced along with new seals and a pressure test.It runs great about +3 seconds a day I know nothing about Seiko's except for my monsters but saw this and had to have it. Its pretty beat up .......should i change the bezel? Where would i get one if i should? Its a got a few scratches in the crystal, should i get that changed as well? Again where do i find one? Should i polish the case? It appears that it never has been polished as all edges are still sharp. Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated

AP AD Vs Grey Dealer
I have been waiting quite a while for a piece I recently put a full deposit down from an AP AD. I was originally promised it would be here within 1-8 weeks once the full deposit was made. Seeing as how it has now been 10 weeks since the date of deposit, I have been constantly questioning the validity of the promise. Playing the waiting game makes me look into other outlets and now I am wondering what are the pros and cons of purchasing from an AD vs a trusted grey dealer. From what I can come up with:Pros of obtaining a piece from an AD:-Specific watch will be 100% original, no chance of an aftermarket part swap-Warranty from AD to last 5 years (since 2017)Pros of obtaining a piece from a grey dealer:-Don't have to wait for the watch as it may be in stock-Price may be lower than an AD since they are more willing to play ballBetween the points that I have listed, is there anything that I have missed? Although I noted that the warranty may last for 5 years from an AD, if purchased within

Incoming - had it before, glad its back
Sometimes we get rid of a piece and regret doing it. I have been without this for a couple years and so glad to have landed one. Just such a great wrist presence, love it or hate it not too many with more pop.
