Audemars Piguet 26022BA.OO.D098CR.01 wrist watches news:
I guess I am trying to justify spending money on one soonWould you buy it as a watch to wear? Special occasions? Rather do something else with the ~$1500 it seems to go for on the Bay?Help
I see a lot of people bemoaning their sales person when it comes to watches...and I have experienced it too...however...The other day I went into a Costco to and of course went to the watch display. There were a lot of Tags, and Oris watches and Breitlings, but I was shopping for another cheapo...anyways the woman asked if I wanted to look at any.She imediately noticed my Hamilton Chrono and remarked tha it was a nice watch and...(get this) contained a nice movement; the 7750. Hmmm...is this a joke?...nope she actually was very well versed in the watches she was overseeing and the brands and movements of most, including the quartz movements of several of the Tags...although I couldn't keeep up with her, as her knowledge either exceeded mine or I lost track of what she was talking about...she did point out on of the Breitling also had the 7750, but she said it was modified, which I think is true.Anyhow I was suprised...I also noticed that Costco seems to have Breitling and Tags and Or
I just found another JLC that I love for sale, I fear a bidding war in my future. These **** JLC's are like crack, you get one and you want more. Well I guess I missed the Breguet a few days ago so I may just have to settle for a JLC. I just love the JLC RDM in RG, got to get it.
I have in my collectiona 1939 elgin dual dial doctors watch. No scratches, dings or wear on the case which is 14KGF. The dial is not refinished but is new old stock while the movement tells great time and was recently serviced. Any idea what it is worth?
My steel diver landed on the crown screw today and now the metal part of the crown screw (with the AP logo) is slightly deformed on one side...can't believe how soft the steel is...Has anyone replaced the crown screw before? If so, can you let me know roughly how much it would be to replace it? Also, should I replace it right away (my watch is less than 1 year old) or should I just bear with it and wait till the rubber crown screw age a bit before replacing? It seriously ruined my mood for the entire day...
