Chopard Chopard 27881 wrist watches news:
Got this one today and have the red & black one still on the way! First impression is WOW! I love it. Hefty and rugged and the strap is super soft. The finish looks superb and the lume is not too bad. It has a Miyota 8205 (no hack but it is handwindable) auto movement. I like this movement but I wish it had the TY-2806 (hack & handwind) auto movement instead.Been drooling over this one for a while and it should be here by the weekend! It has the TY-2806 movement.I'll post pics of the whole family when they get here. Probably won't keep them all but I wanted to take a look at them first and then decide later.Cheers, gigfy
First, I'd like to say that this is a great forum, and I have found it very interesting already. While I am not a watch collector (my obsession with antique cars consumes most of my time & $) , I have a true appreciation for both clocks and watches - especially Hamiltons. He passed away back in 1991, and I have kept this watch in a box since then. It seems now is a good time to get it out and consider restoring it. I am not so concerned with the monetary value of the watch, as the significance to me is sentimantal. I worry; however, whether the watch can be

See below for a pic of the Tudor warranty card I got with my recent Black Bay acquisition. What do you make of the line about, ...valid only if (1) the watch was sold to a consumer by the Official Tudor Jeweler whose name appears on the warranty card and (2) the warranty card is completely filled out by the Official Tudor Jeweler at the time of purchace ... void if any intervention by a third party...Does this mean if you buy the watch second hand, i.e. not from the Official Tudor Jeweler whose name appears on the warranty card, they will void the warranty? Is this an attempt to keep people from buying from a grey?
