Help me Id this watch Please
Need some help identifying this watch. It belonged to one of my parents and think it's from the late 40's. I think the serial number is 8469220 from the back of the movement. When I ran the serial number it told me it was made around 1951. Later than I thought as my parents graduated high school about 1942-43. I have attached pictures to help. There are a lot of numbers inside the back of the case. some stamped but a bunch scratched and engraved. I know it is 10k gold filled and it runs and keeps perfect time when I remember to wind it. I appreciate any help you can give me and THANKS in advance.Terry

Servicing period for a non daily wearer
The servicing period of a mechanical watch, is 5 to 7 years, right?Now, I guess that this period is for a watch used as a daily wearer, or not?How about servicing watches that are beign used just a day in a two or three week period? do they have to be serviced in the same 5 to 7 year basis? considering that they are not working during the off-wrist time (no winder), just sitting stopped...

Luminox Model 1837 Day Issue
My recently purchased Luminox Field Watch is great except for the fact that it has the days in english and I think also german. For example last night at midnight it switched to FRI in the day window and then switched to FRE at around 2 A.M. I bought this watch on the internet. Did I get a non-U.S. model. If this is all normal I'll keep it, but I'd rather there was a way to make it say FRI instead of FRE for most of the day. Thanks.
