Audemars Piguet 26290IO.OO.A001VE.01 wrist watches news:
Hi allwell i went ahead and bought the m36 lumtec but now the mechanical bug has hit hard. I have never owned a mechanical watch before and so i am asking for suggestions. I love the look of the dive or sports watches such as stolas, deep blue and lum tec but being my first mechanical i really want to beable to see as much of the working inside of the watch as possible without it being a full skeleton (so partial or at least with the back case showing the insides). It needs to be at least 100m water resistant and i would like the case diameter to be no more than 42mm. Also needs to be a good brand with a tried and tested movement. We are working with a budget of $750 and under.any suggestions would be appreciated.
Been a while since I posted about an incoming - but I think it was worth the wait. There was a post a while back where Dennis was talking about watches and your "birth year". Well, that year is 1969 for me (and the Omega Speedmaster "Moonwatch" is a bit out of my range). So, I periodically do a search for '69 watches in various places and ran across a beautiful Zenith. The following pictures are the seller's:We'll start with the tease - an original signed buckle, and could that be the original box and hang tag?Original signed crown...Working movement...Original (untouched?) dial...Yep - box, papers, and original hang tag even (new strap)...Looks to be in excellent shape - slight blemish on the crystal - we'll have to wait and see on that...I'm pretty excited - a little research shows that the case had been personalized and was buffed out. We'll have to see how that looks in person. But, all in all, a very nice timepiece. If anyone can point me to information on the specific model,
A very interesting comparison.http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?p=2305606or google for claro semag cl888 sea-gull St16Note that the CL888 has 21 jewels. Why does it have 18 jewels in the literature and stamped on the rotor?CL-888.pdf movement technical specificationBTW, I've been wearing my Oceanaire all weekend and absolutely love it! Huge & chunky and way cool!Cheers, gigfy
Especially the Apollo Soyuz ,has anybody else got one of these?I got mine May 2010, and love it to bits but does anyone think much to them? They seemed to hang around a bit in the AD's but i dont see that many come up for sale now.I have an 80's speedmaster and that looks fantastic, im a big fan of Speedmaster and most of the Ltd Editions, thogh tried an Alaska Prject on which i had wanted for a while, wasnt my cup of tea which i was a bit disappointed about.Would love to see other peoples Speedies!
I have a PAM312 (with 1950 case), and it sits higher than most other watches, so I find myself unintentionally hitting the case on things like desks more often than with my other watches. Anyone else have this issue or is it just me?I've managed to get a few, minor nicks and dents on the bezel and case of my PAM 312. Would Panerai service be able to remove the minor ones? And are the bezels replaceable?
