Hamilton H38755151 wrist watches news:
hi,my seamaster professional chrono is in need of a clean, i just bought it off a mate and he wore it everyday for a year so the buckle has a bit of scratching nothing deep just light from everyday use. also the band has a few scratches.and i was wondering if i took it to a jeweler or a watch restorer would they be able to polish it up like new? im sure others have had the same problem as i have read the seamaster buckle is quite scratch prone. how much would i be looking at somthing like this to be done? and any recomendations in melbourne for who to go to?thank you
Hi, sorry for my english, ok?I need information about the model p72522 of patek philippe, I don¡ät encounter information in the web and I begin to doubt his existence. Thanks for the help.
I went to a yard sale today, and among the cheap trinkets, Timex's and broken Fossil watches was this lonely little Croton sitting at the back of the table. I've never heard of it before, but what interested me was "Aquamatic", I haven't heard of the name before. It looked old, and I paid 5$ for it.Getting it home, the first thing I noticed was the lug was gone! I opened it up and looked inside, It looked fairly clean, but I can't seem to get it to 'wind'. I'm not sure what you do with automatic watches but this one might be a dead horse.Anyway, thought I'd share it with y'all. It looked like it used to be a nice watch back in the day.Oh, and looking on the inside, the oldest date I could find was 9/14(?)/53, there was a 55 and a 59 date too.So, would it be worth it to get it fixed, or just keep it in case anyone needs parts?
If you could ONLY have one which would you chose? The 44MM rose gold novelty with ceramic bezel OR the new 42mm rose gold with mustard dial on strap?Which would hold more value and why would you choose it?Wrist shots are greatly appreciated.
I took my black SMP to a local watchmaker for servicing. He has worked on other watches I own and I think he does a good job.The watch looked good when I picked it up -- all the old scratches and nicks had been buffed out.But when I got it home I noticed that the polished ends on the center links were now satin. He'd buffed the whole bracelet, so the center link no longer had the contrasting polished sides.Overall the bracelet looks a better w/o the scratches and I usually wear it on a black rubber strap, so I'm not THAT bothered....BUT...I am kind of irritated. Don't you think he should have kept the original look of the watch?
