Audemars Piguet circa 1920's

Maintenance and box question.
I am on my second Rolex at this point. Both having been purchased from an authorized dealer from their 'watch' show. Both having been pre-owned and refurbed by Rolex, they were in great condition. Problem is, neither came with the regular Rolex box. One did but it was a left over the AD had. The latest, the sub, had a smaller green box. Almost like a jewelry box.My question is two fold. Why did they come with a different box and two, what maintenance would you recommend beyond repairing any issues?I have had it 'polished' by the local AD but the new dealer in town says they cant do it. The old dealer closed up shop.They offered to send it in to Rolex but I will be without the watch for longer than I want.

1930s Waltham and Elgin watches
I've purchased several vintage Swiss watches over the years, but have recently become interested in early American watches. This week, I picked up a couple of Waltham and Elgin watches from the '30s. I don't know a lot about these pieces but I really liked the look so I decided to make the jump into American watches (and these were relatively inexpensive entries). I'll post some additional photos of the movements once the watches arrive. I do know they are 7 jewel movements, both of which have recently been serviced. The dials look to be original and in decent shape as well. I would love to get some initial thoughts from those of you who are well versed with Waltham and Elgin. Mostly, I'd like to know if they are actually from the '30s, thoughts on their condition, if they are particular models and any other thoughts that come to mind. Whats in the box ??
Hi allI have been climbing around the back room where I keep all the junk and came across a box of watch bits. In the box was a package I won from an auction I went to last year. Paid about ?10 for an "assortment of watches". and forgot all about them. Remember, nothing has been done to them and some a scary. The contents are as follows:1. MuDu 25J doublematic, plaque 10G then what looks like HPF in a polygon. Has a Felsa 4007N movement so according to Ranfft around 1955 quick search reveals nothing about the company except the word Blancpain being thrown about. My mechanical knowledge is no good, but when you turn the winder, quite a few of the cogs turn and not the usual click, but a grate as if winding up a toy, but it runs.2. Some color
I see that this isn't for everyone, but I decided to pull the trigger over the weekend. Life's too short, why not add some colors! A gift from the wife for my upcoming B-Day. Also had the chance to view the new chrono's at the boutique, they are very tempting. Then some delicious food and beer to end the evening.It was a good day
