Dear friends,I had the pleasure to be in Basel yesterday and I took some pics for you As you know, Patek Philippe had some new models on display for Baselworld 2010. The one I liked best was the ref. 5170:The watch has - other than the previous ref. 5070 - a manufacture caliber. It is still handwound, and I am happy to see that the diameter went down from 42mm to 39mm. The writing on the dial "Gradu¨¦ pour 15 pulsations" isn¡ät as bad in reality as it is in the pictures, just like the writing on the Rolex Deepsea The ref. 5205 was also new:It is an annual calender in a classic Calatrava-case. The dial layout reminds me of the legendary ref. 5033 Also new - even if it¡äs just the color - was the ref. 5140 in blue:It is a 37mm watch in a platinum case with perpetual calendar and automatic winding. And it is only 9mm high Another new watch was the ref. 5726:It is a Nautilus in a stainless steel case with leather strap, annual calendar, moonphase and 24-hour indication. What¡äs new is that - o

I have an itch; my obsession with german engineering and precision is getting to me. Anyone have any good references on some relatively reasonably priced B-uhr replicas (or something similar). Obviously, Laco makes some pretty good ones for around $500, but I'm in search of a few more. The Christopher Ward C8 looks promising as well. How about opinions on the "luftwaffe" vintage watches that are sold on ebay?

I've seem to have gotten lucky with my latest Seiko purchase, an OM born in Nov. of '08. During the day it loses 5 seconds and at night, laying face up on my nightstand, it gains 5 seconds. I've had it for about three months now and this is what it's done since day one. The watch is always within a 5 second window of internet time!Anyone else have this kind of accuracy with a 7S26 B movement?
