Baume & Mercier MOA10002 wrist watches news:
I would like to reintroduce myself. I was briefly a member at the old forum. I'm glad that I could post again. I was very busy the last few months. This forum was a great help to me when I was in the process of making my first Rolex purchase. I also know that someone from here (sorry I don't remember who) helped me on my Grovana purchase. Here are some pics. I'm sorry for the poor pics. I am really a bad photographer. No talent with cameras whatsoever.
Wrist watches can reach classic status due to their aesthetics, their reliable and accurate movement, their distinctive complications, their significance or their history. Very few watches can claim to become classics because of all of these attributes. The Cosmonaute is one of those rare gems in horology. Undeniably a true classic.Aesthetics are always subjective but a common acceptance amongst collectors is usually a good indication that the designers got it right. Nobody can deny the fact that Breitling¡¯s design of the Navitimer, from which the Cosmonaute is based, has helped the watch remain in the catalogue since its introduction in 1952. An unparalleled feat that has seen the Navitimer become the longest running chronograph of all time. The movement is the calibre 13 which is based on a self-winding ETA Valjoux 7750 ebauche with chronograph, date and 24 hour display functions. More on the 24 hour display function later. It has a power reserve of 42 hours and, like all Breitling mo
As you may know I was torn between the Rose Gold Jumbo and the RG Novelty 44. I came across a deal at my local AD here in Chicago (Swiss Fine Timing) My man Daniel came thru with this! It came sealed from AP, I watched him open it. It feels so good on the wrist. I may look at getting the short strap as I am currently one the last hole on the original strap. Here she is and yes it still has stickers as I had to snap a quick pic for you all. Thank you everyone who chimed in on my last post on what you thought I should do. Big shout outs to Ken and Paul!!!!
Does anyone know what the import/export rules are for shipping Omegas to Hong Kong and back for repair?
Hi guys, for the purpose of the poll this is asking about the watches only. So if you can, please ignore any other aspects of the brand, eg pricing, servicing, QC, production volumes, the number of iterations of the 5270 etc. I'm saying Yes. I had a look at a brochure from 2006 as I needed a benchmark and I wanted to compare to an era when Philippe was still president. In my personal opinion over the last nearly 10 years, the current collection has become much more appealing. Some of my favourites we have now which did not have a direct equivalent from the 2006 brochure: 5711 (although released late 2006 it's not in the brochure), 5980, 5990, 5164, 5235, 5131, 5370, 5208, 5205, 5227. The tricky middle ground where we have similar watches then and now. My view on some of these masterpieces:5970 v 5270. My vote is the modern 5270, post Basel 2015. 5004 v 5204. I'm going modern again if for nothing else than the more contemporary size. 5070 v 5170. It has to be the classic 5070. Will this
