Baume & Mercier MOA06908 wrist watches news:
From a member on another forum, the kindness of some people is amazing.I have never seen this person face to face or even talked to him that much, but he told me he enjoys my posts and all I do, so he gifted me with this beautiful watch.Enjoy the pictures.
Hey all, my name is Ben, and I have just started at the forum with the suggestion of my friend Kevin(isGQ). I'm new to the watch world (I just started with a Rolex Submariner as a gift in June) and trying to learn as much as I can, so I'll be asking lots of questions.I wanted something with a black dial that also had a good amount of gold to it, and I also liked the design of the classic Navitimer, so I'm thinking the yellow gold dial version with both a two-tone and black leather bracelet to switch up once in a while. I tried to get a sense of what it looks like, but couldn't find pictures of what I wanted, and a trip to the closest Breitling shop for me will be at least 2 hours, so I need a good feeling about what I want to buy before I go out there.Would the two-tone bracelet go well with the yellow gold Navitimer, or is my sense of fasion for watches not so hot, any thoughts? Also, what would be a good price for this watch? I did a search on amazon, looks like it'll go for about 7
A friend and fellow priest wrote this:In Memoriam: Planet Ocean cal. 2500He has expressed my sentiments regarding a future classic. Fortunately I am blessed to be one of 1948 who own the cal. 2500 PO Liquidmetal LE but Rob's article made me reflect on some other discontinued greats from my past.Like these other Omegas:And these Rolex examples:Ah, nostalgia.Fr. This has got to be the toughest band I've ever done. it was my first time so the details are still a bit blurry for me. My suggestion is if you want to refinish this type of band, Take a leak before you start. The point for this post is to prove that these bands can be refinished by individuals who simply set themselves to do it. Once again, I dont tell much but the point is to show that persistence and experimentation can lead to success. This thing took me 2 whole hours and it shouldn't have taken that long. You simply have to commit, even I didn't know if I would succeed, but I commited to it, and I came out on top, not the consistent screw ups. Cheers! Not in bad condition at all, but I can improve it.Polish, polish , polish, but don't wear things down.Success! Phew!Cheers!
